After completing the steps above, you have successfully installed the eSIM. If you’re not already at your desired destination, you can disable your data plan for now. Turn it back on once you have landed: the eSIM will be automatically activated and your smartphone will connect to the mobile Internet network.
Alternatively you can follow the steps below to install the E-SIM.
They may differ slightly depending on the phone model.
1. Go to Settings and tap Connections
2. Tap SIM card manager
3. Tap Add mobile plan
4. Tap Add using QR code.
If you can’t scan the QR code, you can go to “other ways to add a plan” and enter the code provided with the eSIM, which is in the following format: LPA:1$SMDP+ADDRESS$ACTIVATIONCODE
5. Use the camera to scan the QR code
6. Confirm
1. Go to settings and tap Network & Internet
2. Press “+” icon next to Mobile network
3. Tap Download a SIM instead?
4. Tap Next

If you cannot scan the QR code, you can enter the code provided with the eSIM, which has the following format: LPA:1$SMDP+ADDRESS$ACTIVATIONCODE
6. Activate the eSIM
You can choose the operator to use the data as soon as you arrive at your destination.
The normal thing is that the APN (access point to the network) is configured automatically. However, in some cases it may require you to change APN settings manually.
