How to use an eSIM?

Make sure you have an eSIM compatible smartphone.
You can check here the updated list of eligible mobiles.
The process is very simple. Here you will see step by step with illustrated examples.

Install the eSIM (preferably before traveling)

  1. Open your camera or a QR scanner app
  2. Scan the QR code of the provided eSIM
  3. When the “Cellular Plan Detected” notification appears, tap it.
  4. Tap on “Continue” at the bottom of your screen
  5. Add Cellular Plan
  6. If it is necessary, configure the APN as defined below

After completing the steps above, you have successfully installed the eSIM. If you’re not already at your desired destination, you can disable your data plan for now. Turn it back on once you have landed: the eSIM will be automatically activated and your smartphone will connect to the mobile Internet network.

Use the eSIM when you arrive at your destination

  1. Go to Networks and activate the E-SIM
  2. Make sure you have mobile data activated
  3. Make sure you have data roaming enabled
  4. Do not forget to disable the option “allow mobile data change” to avoid high charges for roaming from your usual operator

  3. Select your eSIM data plan
  4. Tap on Access Point Names
  5. Tap Mobile data network
  6. Change the APN name to the one we provide with your QR code.
  7. The other fields (username & password) are left blank.
